New Season Treatment Center - Orange Park
Reviews
Since transferring from a sister clinic in Jacksonville Florida to Orange Park Florida clinic (New Seasons) I've been able to start climbing the ladder of take home privileges, until a recent slip back into my old addiction and I lost those privileges but slowly gaining them back;but that's not what this is about. This is about that during my relapse I WAS NEVEER ONCE JUDGED BY ANY ONE WHO WORKS THERE! I wasn't looked at like a phasent or whatever you know and you know the program director Ms Erica she is always so thrilled to help you out and give you guidance with a smile on her face. She's amazing people. Ms Jamie my once before counselor she's she is just as amazing but most of all I want to thank you two ladies for always having a smile on their face and letting me know that even though what we deal with in life every day they continue to smile and it helps me out every day thank you ladies
I originally left a five star review 2 or 3 years ago and was one of their biggest advocates and brought many other patients here as well. However after several months of a steady decline, and after filed complaints not even receiving acknowledgement, all of the fantastic dedicated compassionate counselors and nurses who truly cared and had worked there for years have ALL QUIT as a last resort due to management changes, poor leadership, hours being cut, lack of support, among other reasons. Anyone who has been at this clinic for any length of time will tell you the same thing. Its completely changed and has gone downhill 100% and management doesn't seem to give a damn!!! They used to be well organized, and things operated smoothly. For years the wait never exceed 15 mins at the very most! Now its so excessive that I have to leave my house at 530am to allow at least an hour (sometimes longer) because the wait is SO LONG from having newly trained nurses, not enough nurses, new counselors, short staff, and no one seems to know what the hell they are doing. I purposely plan ahead, make appointments, communicate by email, try to take care of any upcoming meetings so that I don't have flags when I come in (counselors confirm this too) and without fail everytime I come in, I’ll have several flags. This takes my wait time from 30 mins to an hour or more!!! The whole point of a recovery clinic is help patients RECOVER and become productive members of society again, right? Yet when you finally become productive members again they make it IMPOSSIBLE to keep a job. I've lost two prior jobs because of the disorganization and the lack of support to ensure those who have jobs are dealt with in a timely fashion. Ive waited over an hour on multiple occasions and wasn't able to dose because I was forced to walk out or get fired for being late. Back in May I was on my third day in a row of having to wait like this and I was late to work yet again and was fired….yet if I would have left like the other two days I would have been so sick I wouldn't have been unable to work. Im having to leave at least two hours prior to the time I start work, just to allow enough time while at the clinic and still arrive on time at my job. That's crazy and not something I can do everyday and shouldn't have to!!! I was so upset and angry and hurt at the lack of support. I wrote several emails to management and corporate, yet received no response. Missy even took it to the new regional/district manger who response was “Im sorry to hear that”. That was it! No one gave a damn about it except my counselor at the time and yet she was frustrated and feeling defeated she couldn't get management support either. I just cant comprehend how a recovery center can be so unwilling and unsupportive of its patients and employees. It undermines their very point of existence. I'm currently researching other clinics in the area to transfer to. The only reason why I gave it two stars instead of one is because they are at least still giving me the state exceptions every month. Its taken three days and four hours so far this week to get done what used to be done in a single phone call. (before I could just call my counselor and the next day it was approved) If you have all the time and patience in the world to wait every morning, then this is the clinic for you.
This is one of the best places to go for help .. All of the people that work there are great ! From the time you walk in to the time you walk out . You are treated as a person and with respect . Which is more than I can say for other places I have tried...I would have never gotten this far if it wasn't for the team at this place...I have to say although everyone of them are great. There is 1 that has went above and beyond for me .. She definitely cares for the people that go through that door her name is Missy and she is 1 of the counselors. I Recommend this place 100 percent if you are seeking help and are serious about your sobriety..
