Better Balance Psychiatry

I have been in to better balance about 13 times now for therapy and treatments. I have never one time been in any of the offices where there was someone having a bad day or where they were dealing with someone on the phone and they were short or unprofessional the feeling in the offices is very homie and everybody feels like family at first I thought it’s maybe because I was starved and needing that kind of connection in my life and they felt like family but now I realize they have a very unique culture they hired just the right people for their counseling staff, and also their administrative. I absolutely love the PAs. I feel they are concerned with my mental health as much or more than they care about the profitability or the success of their business and realize that they go hand in hand, I love these guys. It’s such a safe warm place to be while trying to heal and definitely the highlight of my days most of the time. Thanks better balance psychiatry keep up the great work.

I want to start by saying that I love my psychiatrist at Better Balance Psychiatry and have had nothing but positive interactions with the front desk/reception staff, who are always kind and responsive. Unfortunately, my experience with the Practice Manager, Shannon, has been extremely frustrating. I’ve been trying to resolve a billing question that we were supposedly “sorting out” for over three months now, and communication has been consistently lacking. Each time I follow up, I’m told she’ll get back to me “later today” or “tomorrow,” but that follow-up never happens. At this point, it feels like I’ve been completely ghosted. Billing issues are stressful enough, and clear, timely communication is essential, especially when patients are actively trying to resolve things in good faith. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect updates or even a straightforward explanation after months of waiting. I genuinely enjoy the care I receive here and don’t want this to overshadow the great clinical staff, but this ongoing lack of communication from management needs to be addressed. I’m sharing this in hopes that it brings attention to the issue and leads to improvement, because patients shouldn’t have to chase answers indefinitely.

It was all great and supportive until they charged me $2,000 because they sent an incorrect diagnosis to my health insurance. After 4 months of not being communicated with or posted on the patient portal, there was a balance for me to pay. They don't solve any billing issues nor cancel my appointments. I am just asking for TRANSPARENCY.
