Armada Recovery - Akron
Reviews
Well what can I say about Armada recovery, it is a great rehab the classes are great other than the 3 flights of stairs u have to climb 6 days a week and the flights are not small and the elevator doesn't work so if u are handicapped or have difficulty with any breathing problems this isn't the place for u. If u want to lose weight go for it I've lost over 20 lbs in less than 2 months. Clinicals are great they teach you a lot how ever some of the staff can be rude one in particular. That's morning class down stairs not naming any names. But if you know you know. Housing is a whole nother story though. For females first you go to High Street till they have no more room bc they just keeps accepting clients then they move you to Perkins. High street is a building with 3 floors and extremely hot especially the second floor. Once you go to Perkins it's less steps and a lot more homeyer but you have to provide your own food which is the only rehab I've been to where they don't feed you. You go grocery shopping once a week if that. If you are a guy they don't take you shopping you have to walk. With two fridges among 9 other girls so make that make sense. We had to buy our own dishes for the house which is pathetic as well. Staff is picky choosy some are fake others genuinely care. The ones that are fake make it known they don't like you. Which it's very unprofessional. But other than staff Armada is a great place if you really want to get clean and the tools to utilize to stay clean.
Good idea of what a treatment program should be but they don't measure up to it. Only a few clinical staff care the rest are there for a paycheck. Gossiping is another issue among staff. Staff can be rude, judgemental, considering, and inconsiderate. They only care if you go to group so they can get paid. Same with housing only a few care. Staff will make fun of you and make jokes about you. No professionalism whatsoever. Don't go to armada. Go somewhere you are valued respected uplifted and they care about your recovery inside group and outside. The only good thing is peer support.
Armada Recovery has gave me the ultimate guide to my road of recovery and I couldn't be more proud of the accomplishments of my time here. They are the most awesome and great type of people here that I have not a single complaint against this place for sure. Thank you Armada Recovery
